We are once again taking the kids in our neighborhood to Streamside Camp. We invite you to be a part of a child’s journey to camp by sponsoring a child. Nights of Celebration are quarterly gatherings to celebrate all that God is doing in our area. People gather from different ministries and communities to share food, sing, tell stories, pray and break bread together. Join folks from The Simple Way, Conspire, and friends at 7pm on Friday, May 18th in the garden at Potter and H Street, with something to add to the food table and be prepared to celebrate with us! The death of Jesus is central to Christian life and thought, yet it has been frequently been misunderstood and misused. In many tragic ways, the cross of Christ has been seen as a kind of redemptive violence, and has been directly or indirectly used to vindicate and even bless human violence.
