Pray the Devil Back to Hell is a documentary film chronicling an astonishing and courageous campaign of nonviolence that brought down a dictator and ended a war.

Pray the Devil Back to Hell is a documentary film chronicling an astonishing and courageous campaign of nonviolence that brought down a dictator and ended a war.  In 2002, thousands of Liberian woman, both Christian and Muslim, banded together with a conviction that the violence ravaging their country must stop.  Armed only with the power of prayer and their convictions, their efforts helped bring an end to a brutal fifteen-year civil war.  This award-winning film conveys the power of women, of grassroots activism, of faith, and of nonviolent peacemaking.  After watching the film, we will discuss how this story can empower us in our efforts to bring peace to our troubled world.

A light breakfast will be served.  A $10 donation is requested to cover costs (though if you can’t pay, please feel free to come anyway!).
